Becoming a mother changes more than
your employee's circumstances.
It changes her.

Corporate Coaching
Becoming a mother isn't just a life event. It's a profound neurological and identity transition known as matrescence.
Yet workplace support often still looks like a few KIT days, a return-to-work conversation and an expectation that she'll slot back in as before.
When in reality, she's navigating a huge shift in identity, confidence, priorities and capacity - often alongside sleep deprivation and the demands of caring for a young family.
That doesn't make her less ambitious, less committed or less capable.
It means the way she needs to be supported has changed.
And if she can't see a sustainable future in your organisation, there's a real risk you'll lose someone you've invested heavily in recruiting, developing and retaining.
Retention isn't a wellbeing issue. It's a business issue.
The traditional return-to-work process is designed around getting someone back.
But getting someone back isn't the same as retaining them.
I know this transition because I've lived it - and I know the world you're operating in.
When I became a mum, I found myself at the same crossroads many of the women I now coach face.
I wanted flexibility without sacrificing ambition, but couldn't see how my existing career could work alongside raising a family.
So I pivoted, retrained and became a Career Coach specialising in career, identity and confidence for high-performing mums navigating motherhood and the return to work.
I combine:
-
15+ years of PR experience across agency, in-house and freelance roles - so I understand the pace, pressure and expectations of agency life first-hand.
-
Specialist coaching expertise in career, identity, confidence and the transition into working motherhood.
-
A calm, empathetic and practical approach that helps people move from feeling stuck to taking meaningful action.
I understand both sides of the equation: what your business needs - and what your people are navigating.
The data is clear:
⚡51% of mothers report a negative return-to-work experience (People Management, 2025)
⚡85% of women leave full-time employment within three years of having a child*
⚡Fewer than 1 in 4 return to full-time work after having children*
*Careers After Babies report, 2023
This is preventable.
What I offer isn't a wellbeing perk.
It's proactive retention support that protects your people and your bottom line.

Regular, confidentially appropriate feedback to HR, with general themes and recommendations
All coaching is confidential, professional and tailored to your organisation's culture and objectives.
“Before working with Claire, I was feeling completely lost as I prepared to return to work after a year of maternity leave with my first baby. My sense of identity outside of motherhood was unclear, and my employer wasn’t making the transition back any easier.
Claire helped me shift my mindset and regain confidence in my skills, experience, and values. I’ve now found a new sense of calm and purpose in my current role and have made more effort to build new relationships with colleagues who I have more in common with personally, in order to build a stronger support network.”

“I really recommend coaching with Claire. Having had no previous experience of coaching, I wasn’t sure of what to expect - it was quite a journey! Claire helped me find my confidence again (after my 2nd maternity leave)and trust in my own abilities as a leader – which resulted in me getting a promotion. wish I could have a little Claire on my shoulder when faced with challenges in work, but actually she gave me the gift of myself as my biggest champion!”

Let's make the return to work
work for everyone.
You don't have to choose between supporting your people and protecting your business.
I understand both the commercial realities of agency life and the personal challenges your employees are navigating through motherhood.
My goal is simple: help talented women build a sustainable future within your organisation - so you can retain the experience, expertise and potential you've already invested in.
If you're thinking about how to better support working parents and keep brilliant women on your team, I'd love to explore what that could look like together.
Because when your people can see a sustainable future within your agency, they're far more likely to stay - and to perform at their best.
